Day 1: Arrival in Paro and Transfer to Thimpu – Where the Adventure Begins

Your journey through the enchanting kingdom of Bhutan commences with your arrival at Paro Airport, situated at an elevation of 2200 meters. As you complete immigration formalities and collect your baggage, our warm-hearted representative welcomes you.

The adventure unfolds as you embark on a scenic drive to Thimphu, the charming capital city of Bhutan. Enroute, pause at Chuzom, the confluence of the Thimphu and Paro rivers. Witness three distinct styles of stupas here – Tibetan,

Nepalese, and Bhutanese – harmoniously coexist at this confluence. Upon reaching Thimphu, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, take an exploratory walk along Thimphu, Main Street and market area, immersing yourself in the local culture and traditions.

Day 2: Thimphu – A Day Filled with Culture and Spirituality

Your day begins with a visit to a handmade paper mill and the School of Arts and Crafts, where students master 13 different arts traditionally practiced in Bhutan. Immerse yourself in this vibrant culture and, if your visit aligns with the right days, you can experience the traditional sport of archery at the Simply Bhutan museum. In the afternoon, explore the Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in memory of the third King of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Continue to the Buddha viewpoint, offering panoramic vistas of the capital city. Other highlights of your day include visits to Changangkha Lhakhang, Zilukha Nunnery, and the Takin enclosure. As evening descends, take in the charming allure of Thimphu before returning to your hotel for dinner and a restful night’s sleep.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha – An Enchanting Drive through Dochula Pass

Prepare for an extraordinary day as you journey through Dochula Pass, situated at a breathtaking 3100 meters above sea level. Here, you encounter the 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens, constructed in honor of Bhutan’s victory over Indian militants in
2003. Weather permitting, you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring vistas of Bhutan’s highest mountains, stretching across a 180-degree panorama. This enchanting landscape makes Dochula Pass one of the country’s most picturesque locations.
Continuing on, you’ll descend to the warm and fertile Punakha Valley. Your first stop is the remarkable Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece and a place of profound spiritual significance. This Dzong houses one of Bhutan’s most exquisite
temples, featuring ornate artwork and craftsmanship. In the afternoon, embark on an excursion to Chimi Lhakhang, known as the temple of fertility. A leisurely walk through the surrounding village provides insights into the daily lives of its residents. The temple and its surrounding areas are filled with cultural and spiritual significance.
